Care in Action

Burrun Dalai was established in response to the Bringing Them Home Report to ensure Aboriginal children and families could access culturally safe, community-controlled support, with its name—meaning “Dream for Children”—gifted by Dhungutti Elders. Today, Burrun Dalai is a predominantly Aboriginal-led organisation delivering child-focused, trauma-informed services that work to keep families together and support children to remain connected to family, culture, and country.

Community Yarns

Stories, updates, and initiatives that celebrate culture, strengthen community, and keep connection at the heart of everything we do.

Community Clinic Day

A powerful day at Skully Park in Tamworth, we were proud to host a coaching clinic with Black Money Enterprises, joined by special guests who helped make the day truly inspiring. With the support of Black Money Enterprises and Joblink Plus, the kids enjoyed a fun, engaging experience that built confidence, skills, and connection, creating memories that will last well beyond the field.

As a proud Burrun Dalai Ambassador, Shanell Dargan continues to inspire the next generation through her dedication, resilience and leadership. Watch the incredible moment Shanell claimed the IBF International Bantamweight Title with a dominant Round 2 knockout victory over former world champion Shannon O’Connell. Her success is a testament to what can be achieved through determination, hard work and belief in yourself – values that align strongly with the Burrun Dalai mission.
